 About Table of Grace

The Sidney Table of Grace became a Nazarene Compassionate Ministry Center (CMC) in 2019. What is a Nazarene Compassionate Center? The Church of the Nazarene and CMC’s are opposite sides of the same coin. The “Church” is God’s grand design for transforming the world. CMC’s are separate legal entities but they are an extension of the Church used to bring about transformation in our communities.

Recognizing that God has blessed us to be a blessing, the mission of Table of Grace and the Sidney Church of the Nazarene, is to share the overwhelming abundance God has bestowed upon us with those in need in our community. Food is shared with love and respect for those who come for assistance. It is our intention that they receive not only food for their family and physical hunger, but generous portions of kindness and grace to feed their spiritual and emotional hunger.

We believe the words of Jesus, that this is one way we can respond directly to God’s love for us: “ For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger and you invited me in.” Matthew 25:35.

And to that end, we desire to bring all men, women and children to a saving knowledge of Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
